Overlay Plan for the Area Code 203:

In August, 1999 The Connecticut Public Utility Commission found that the current stock of codes for the Connecticut area is expected to and proposed an overlay plan for the Area Code 203. The code 475 will be the new overlay code for code 203 and implemented on December 12, 2009. This new code will serve the same areas covered by the original code.
The Area Code 959 is the overly code for the code 860 and will serve the Bristol, Hartford, Norwich and the rest of northern and eastern Connecticut regions that currently uses the area code 860.
The residents of the area of code 203 are still using a 7-digit dialing system; but from May 16, 2009 a permissive but not mandatory 10-didigit dialing will be allowed. However a 10-digit dialing will be mandatory from November 14, 2009 to male local calls even in the same area. All the international and local telecom carriers are advised to activate the code 475 before December12, 2009.
This overlay plan will only effect how calls are dialed; code 203 and 475 both will serve the same area, so customers living in the these areas have to dial the code to make local calls.

Reverse Phone Check Lookup Service for the Area Code 203:

The Mobile Reverse Lookup and Phone Directory both can be used to find any business or a missing friend living in any area with any code. The parents of the young kids are particularly using the Reverse Phone Number Directories to keep them from falling into any serious conditions. With the increasing use of the Mobile with unfamiliar or new codes, the importance of these reverse Telephone Directories have significantly increased.
Some of the debt collecting companies are also making use of the Reserve Telephone Directories before they contact the debtor via telephone or visit them in person. However it is almost impossible for the Reverse Phone Check Directories to maintain an up-to-date record of always changing cell phone numbers.
