A brief description of  Florida Area Codes is given below:

It was created for serving the areas located in Southwest side of Florida. It was formed in 2002 to give numbering relief to area code 941 when the code 941 was running out of available phone numbers due to the exhausted demands for telephone lines.

The code is one of the original codes created in 1947. Area Code 813 and 904 were split from code 305 in 1953 and 1965 respectively.

The code is providing telephone services in the regions of Central Florida including Brevard County. The code 321 was created on 1st November 1999 - small part of code 321 is overlaid with the 407 area code on the way to Orlando.

It was created on 3rd March 1996 as a result in split of the code 906. The code is providing telephone services in Northern Florida. It is serving the counties of Marion, Citrus, Gilchrist, Levy, Sumter and Dixie.

The code is providing telephone services in Northern Florida. It does not cover contiguous area and is separated by area code 904 which lies in between the two portions of code 386.

It was created in 1989 as a result in split of area code 305. The code is providing telephone services in the regions of Central Florida.
