The state of Nevada - The Silver Star is located in the western region of United States. The largest city of the state is Las Vegas and the capital of the state is Carson City. The state contains so many silver deposits and this is why it is known by its nick name, The Silver Star. It entered into statehood in 1864. NANP assigned the state with area code 702 in 1947.
