Searching your regular printed telephone directory doesn't make it clear if the number is local or long distance. However the rule of always adding area code with long distance numbers has almost been eliminated.
Though several areas can share an area code and yet be long distance to one another. On the other hand there are areas that have a handful of area codes all within the same small area zone and are all local to each other. At present area codes are created fast because increasing demands of telephone lines just make the area congested. Demands for telephone connections are increasing dramatically and so no other option is left to make the number unique by just adding a three digit area code.
Area code 567 is an overlay area added to code 419 in 2001 while code 419 was created in 1947. Both of these codes are used in the northwest corner of the State of Ohio. Standard time used for this region is Eastern Time Zone.
