History and Geographical localities part of the areas covered by 360:Area Code 360 was created on January 15, 1995 as an overlay for 206; but it was assigned only to the western Washington area. In the American Area Code's history that the Codes 360 and 334 were the first that does not include 1 or 0 as their middle digit. So there is a possibility that they were created to meet up the increasing demand of cell numbers.
